Sport Fishing Sector Survey

The decisions being discussed at the regional level could impact the future of tourism and sport fishing in Costa Rica. It is essential to have the participation of the sector to build an informed and representative position.

Within the framework of the Sustainable Pacific Project, a proposal for a “Regional Plan for the Conservation and Management of Recreational Fishing of Sailfish and Marlin in the Pacific of Central America”, promoted by OSPESCA, is currently being evaluated.

Objective of the survey: To collect opinions, concerns and proposals from the tourism and sport fishing sector on the proposed regional plan to contribute to strengthening the sustainable management of the activity, as well as to support the construction of a representative position.
