San Juan, Puerto Rico Sport Fishing News- The IGFA continues to move forward on its initiative to strengthen its international network! On Friday, August 16, IGFA Trustees, Representatives, Captains and Members from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, joined IGFA staff at the Central America & Caribbean IGFA Regional Meeting, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Held around the 66th San Juan IBT and hosted by the Club Náutico de San Juan, this important meeting also marked the first step toward the appointment of an IGFA Regional Council in that important area of the world. #fishIGFA
FECOP – The Voice of Sport Fishing in Costa Rica was represented by Todd Staley and Marine Biologist Marina Marraira to help the IGFA expand its’ presence and billfish studies in Costa Rica and Latin America as well as Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
